If replacing my Rotor and Stator should I replace the regulator as well? Im pretty sure the old one is 22 amp? The new Rotor/stator is 32 amp which suggests I need to upgrade the reg to suit?

Probably not necessary, as the Reg' would only limit the curent to 22A, but it would be worthwhile to take
    advantage of the higher output.

And just make damn sure the regulator is earthed well or you will be fitting another one....and another one.......   If its on a rubber mount frame, its a good idea to run a separate earth wire from the regulator mounting to the motor just to be sure there are no spikes.
