Hi, three queries, firstly I'm looking for a wind deflector for my (2012) fatbob, national cycles in America have one, but I cant seem to find what I'm looking for here in Oz, H.D a bit expensive and not quick release (I only want it for touring)second, being height challenged,(O.K. so I'm short!) I find ground handeling a bit difficult, I cant put my heels on the ground, my other bike is lowered, but I'm not going to lower this bike, so what seat would you recomended, I dont like the super reduced reach H.D has to offer, I want to go lower not forward, thirdly, pipes, pipes, pipes,at the moment it sounds like a Volkswagen Transporter! Now what I'm looking for is a decent note, NOT loud, has anybody had any experence with the HD slip ons? Have only done 600Ks so far, also how about the stock shocks, are they adequate? I find the ride a little harsh at the moment, I know I can adjust the pre load which I will, I also am not a boy racer, I ride to my ability which is not a million miles per hour

     Hi Telly,

Well, I bought a non HD wind deflector and it was the "National Cycle Deflector Screen DX". I found its ability to be finely tuned to suit the rider appealing. For example, you can move the screen forwards/backwards. You can tilt the screen torwards/away from you and you can also raise/lower it depending on the other two options.

I'm a fly shit of 6"2 and mine pushes the wind just over the tops of my shoulders and just hits the top of my helmut. No issues whilst riding. No negative impacts on handling. Feels just the same, except you're not feeling like a sheet in a cyclone.

You can get this from MCAS. Just pick the correct one to match your bars size. Takes a couple hours of fine tuning (for me it did cos I'm a fussy prick) but once sorted, fully detachable in less than 30 seconds.

Pipes, personally I have Rush slipons. They are not too loud and will not deafen anyone you stick on the back. They are also not as loud as some of the Vance/Hines so won't attract the attention of the "boys in blue". They are however loud enough for you to hear whilst riding and others can certainly hear you coming. I think they are sitting at around 104db. Stock is 94db from memory.....can't remember.

Seats, can't help you there....6"2 like I said

    Hope that helps.

Hi Hesh, thanks for the info, have ordered screen from MCAS, and Screemin Eagle slip ons from Dandy HD, they (HD) said I could try different seats while I was there, I really like the look of the solo brown seat in distressd leather
