Just wondering if anyone has shipped bikes across the country and the cheapest companies that do it.

Got a bike in qld and wanna try get it to WA for the cheapest i can.

If anyone has any help and places to go via would be great.

If it was me i wouldnt be worried about cheap but more worried about them not damaging the bike, some transport in fully enclosed crates to minimise the risk of damage but they would be more expensive, sorry i carnt help with any recommendations was going to transport Melb - Cairns once but changed my mind when i seen the cost.

yeh i think to wa is really expensive compared to most places.

That's kinda why im chasing around to find the best deal.

No point paying 1500 for something when someone else will do the same job for alot less ya know

i've shipped a few times with a few different companies .. none have ever been a problem . So i would simply do a shop around ( ie how often they ship / next available slot / do they ship direct or only to their yard ) 

Never had a crate  - these specialist transport trucks are rigged up for bikes only so you dont need one imo.   the only issue most times is booking ahead .  some routes in the past have had a few months waiting time .

fly and ride ,, all part of the fun,, Unless its a road king ,, or a similar tourer , then i would be happy to do it for ya,,, if its a sporty sorry the offer don't stand ha ha

Another place is http://www.roadhogtransport.com.au/. They bought my bike up to me locally. Seemed well setup & kept me in the loop with delivery time etc, I only used them once.
