ok, this is a really dumb one i know, but i have a single seat on my 2011 FXST i went and bought a matching Le Pera solo seat and i pulled out the bung where the original seat bolt went into and there is just a hole there, how am i supposed  to screw in the new bolt? is there a special bolt or a gadget or am i supposed to have a nut supplied with the bolt or am i missing something?

Use the original parts you may have to move it. I think the nut is held in with a cir circlip

oh i get what you mean ! they moved the bolt from the back to use on the single seat , so reuse that!

 Yep thats the one  my sporty has a nut in both spots !!

well if i need 2 nuts, im out of luck atm, cause the new seat didnt come with one!
