    G'Day All,

I ride a 2011 Dyna Street Bob, and want to get the rake that the Wide Glide has.

Its the one thing the Wide Glide has that I want for my own bike. Only problem is, I have NFI who or what to ask for in order to rake my ride.

I was thinking its a set of 3" over trees for a mid glide front end? What is the simplest / most cost effective way of getting what I am after? Who would people recommend?

    Cheers fellas.

Ive been looking at the Hawg Halters website, the gear on there looks pretty sweet, am I right in thinking that I will need a new set of trees, and a conversion kit which has a new front axle, some spacers and bolts etc?

Looks like an oem kit would be safest hey?

All good mate, I appreciate your input. Your bike looks right with that rake. I like it.

Pieter from P&L in Toongabbie is looking around to see what will work out for me, and he said the same thing about the cups.

One thing I dont need is my otherwise great riding bike turning into a heap of shit. Do it once, do it right :)

Mate, the Hawg Halters Raked Tree kits are the bomb!!

I bought the 4dg Raked kit for my fatty and it rides better than it did stock.  I have had my hands off the bars at 140km and NO wobble!!  It corners better and it looks sick!!

I did the install myself, and it aint that hard!!   No raked cups (no disrespect to the above) just saying is all.

Below are some before and after!!

Yeah man - I do like the Corsair, but it was getting in the way too much - so I have the MoFlo on now, and it goes just as hard. :) I still have the corsair incase I get bored. :)

Yep - I am loving the raked trees.

Helped a mate do a 3degree wide glide tree install on his 07 Street bob, we decided to add a 21inch front runner and lowered the srse an inch instead of longer tubes. Axle spacers can be a bit tricky to get right if your not careful. Old mate was happy with the end result and can't fault the stability of the ride! Check out J&P parts online, lots of kits to choose from at good prices, delivery time can about 4-5 weeks though ;)

I have a set of custom mid - glide, hidden top tree's with 3 degree rake and they were made at A1 cycle engineering.
Great investment. Hands off at 140+ with no wobble and also corners better than standard.

Apologies for the dumbass question, but what do you mean by 'hidden' top trees?

Dumbass qestion # 2 - Raked Cups ? Even the raked triple trees , does this mean the fork tube holes are 3 deg from the headstem line , therefore not machined square through triple trees ?

Agreed! To much rake and it's a recipe for disaster. I have a relative with a softail with 5 Degree raked trees, and man, that thing is a death trap! There is plenty of data about bring the trail back in line using fork length etc. I can't comment on any other setups bar the one I have, and as stated above, it really does handle better than stock, with no ill affect. So I can only gather that Hawg did their research on this kit. :)
