ok.. so I got a fuelpak.....

tried to install it on my Nightster and for the love of God, I cannot get those massive plugs to fit in there at all.

Has anyone managed to install the fuelpak on their Nightster? How????

I'm in Brisbane; i will PAY you to do it for me!!

    hi
yes I watched that video on the Vance & Hines site before attempting it... the only problem i am having it getting the 2 connectors to fit under the frame, above the battery. With the main wiring harness already running underneath the frame, it just does not seem possible to fit anything else in there.

Even thought I couldn't get it fitted, I managed to do all the calibration etc and the bike started straight up, so I assume that I do have the correct unit.

I don't expect you to come all the way from Ipswich, I live in Greenslopes just on the south side of the CBD. But if you are heading out here anytime, I'd welcome your help. Mike

    ok
    got it stuffed in.
Ended up squashing the giant connectors in the triangular space between the frame rails under the seat. The seat is really trying to squash it all down.
Maybe there is more space on top of the battery in other sportsters, but definately NOT the nightster.

    Cheers.

    hi again.
When I first got the bike, it felt very torquey. The only mod was cycleshack slipons. But i didnt like the sound.
So I got these sideshots, a SE stage 1 cleaner and mounted up. The bike was definately not as torquey plus i was a bit rough and had tonnes of popping on deceleration. Obviously running lean.
After adding the fuelpak, it is a LOT smoother and hardly pops.
However it doesnt feel any more powerful than without the fuelpak; just smoother.

    Am I imagining it?

    hi
yes, I programmed it. Just went to the website, selected my bike and exhaust etc... then input all the numbers into the fuelpak. Throttle was calibrated and all seemed to be OK.
