How many other Blackline owners are there out there?

Are you happy with your bike and what could Harley have done better in your opinion???

Personally i think a 160 (3.5) rear and wider bars would be my only complaint.

I love my bike and was originally looking for a 2nd hand nighttrain!! I am glad i bought this instead.

    Very happy Blackline owner.

    A few.

Yes very. Lots but then they wouldn't sell all those "competitively priced" accessories.

Rear tyre is cool on the twistys.

    Me too.

    Hey bud.

Does yours have the 96cui in it or the 103cui?

Where abouts in Sydney are you bud?

    Hey bro

    its 96cu n m in liverpool

    Nice.

Yeah mine's the 96cui too. I was a little pissed when they brought out the 103 but it's only an extra 1.4hp which is nothing really and lets face it if you're after a powerplant you buy an R1 or CBR1000. These things are built for cruising and noise. Haha. That's why i love em.

It's good to know someone relativley close also has one. I've only seen one other Blackline on the road in the 7months i've had mine. They seem to be pretty rare considering. I guess they've only been around just over 12 months.

Is there many good places to ride out South West?

I'm from Wollongong and most of the boys from here always head down the coast. Up north, Sydney is too hectic and i've never been out west.

Have you looked for rims for yours yet? Most brands start with a 3.5 rear when ours is 3. I've measured the rear and a 160 will fit with about 3-4mm either side. I don't know anyone who has done it yet though and i really don't want to change the rear guard.

    Yeah sounds good guys.

I know a few guys who ride but it's really hard to try and organise everyone and if you want to go at the last minute everyone is always busy or doesn't want to go far or is working...

Plus i'm only 30 too, and a lot of my mates that want Harleys just can't afford them. I've been for rides on my own quite a few times now and it's not that bad!

If anyone is keen, i'll definatley tee up a ride with ya's. I can meet you somewhere up South West (i know my way up to and around Campbelltown) or we gan go down the coast i'm easy. Got a couple of busy weekends coming up but after that if anyone wants. Keep in touch and post me back if anyone is keen.

It'd be good to see another Blackline in the flesh and see what other people are doing to theirs.

    Jase.

You asked how to post pictures...

You have to upload them to another site, then link to the other site in your post.

    Hey ya'll.

Two quick questions for the Blackline owners...

    1. Has anyone lowered their bike yet??? I have the lowering kit and can get it professionally installed for $100 but don't know if i want it in now. It's looks vs practicality. I have big radius pipes and i've been told i'll drag the ass out of them if my bike is lowered. It'll look good but ride like shit.

    2. (A little personal!!!) What did you pay for your bike from the dealer??? I'm curious to see if prices range from dealer to dealer. Don't feel you have to answer. I paid $26k.

    Thanks guys!!!

No idea about lowering but it looks cool.

I paid $20,400 ride away for mine in Sept last year.

If you like to ride lots; then choose the best ride.

If you want to show n shine more; then choose the best look.

    Holy shit!!!

$20,400 is a bargain. I feel like i have been raped. I jumped into buying mine, (obviously!) It was such a spontaneous decision with not a lot of homework done. I saw one in the flesh and just had to have it. Haha.

I got the pipes, ecu, breather and seat thrown in but shit man that is cheap.

The tag on mine when i bought it was $25k so all the other stuff for $1k seemed good to me. Second hand Nighttrain's were around $26k so i was happy to have a new bike.

Anyway, i'm happy with the bike overall and i'm keeping it forever.........i think!

Was yours an ex demo or you just know how to hustle? lol.

Also, PUNJABI, How come you traded a new 48? Didn't you like it or it just wasn't what you expected? And also, do they go better than the Blacklines? I've been told the lighter 1200's will have any of the softails. The Blackline being stripped is obviously the lightest of the softails so maybe goes a bit better but i'm curious from someone who has owned both.

Thanks for replying to my other post guys.

    Fellow Blackline enthusiasts,

I have been reading that the Blackline may be dead in Oz from next year. Is this a rumour or does someone have some facts?

Word is the softail slim is taking its place. Similar to the Blackline taking the Nightrain's spot.

I'm curious to weather or not this is bullshit or it's really a go ahead, and what it will mean for Blackline owners???

The blackline hasn't been available in oz for a while now.  What does this mean for owners?  Nothing unless you want a 2013 model.

Harley chop and change there models all the time.  You can still get the part though.

The Rocker C isn't available any more but you can still buy parts.

So is anything you own a more unique harley than most others.

    Be proud.

    ;)

thinking of getting one of these... I love the looks... not so sure about the skinny rear tyre though.
Current bike is a Nightster.... I think the Blackline will have tonnes more torque and be a lot smoother... cannot lug the engine on the Sportsters....
