I have a 2008 Fatbob with 63000 klms , my fuel pressure is down  therefore lacking power ,  cant see any leaks & was wondering if the fuel pump may be worn out . Anybody know how long the last ? Cheers

When did you change your Filter? If that is blocked then it would reduce the fuel pressure and put added strain on the fuel pump.

Have you tried running the pump without the filter just to check fuel pressure. Also you may have a split in the lines inside the tank. If they get a split then you would loose pressure. Did you use a proper gauge. I think the pressure should be around 60Psi.

Pressure was checked at local HD dealer at just under 40psi , i cant see any leaks , splits inside tank ( when ignition is turned on ) I will try it without the filter in , thats good plan right now , thanx

Also check your Fuel Pressure Regulator as well. Possible that the o'rings have perished or the unit is causing the problems

Sorry guys , took a while to get back , ended up putting a new pump in ( after buying the wrong one first ) & the new pump is great! Old pump had done 63,000 ks & i have been told it should have lasted a lot longer , but no matter is great now , thanks for the input . PS : pump was $216 from Peter Stevens in Melb , i got it there coz i bought the bike there
