20102 V-rod Muscle, Tab slip on pipes, K & N filter

TTS master tuner

Having problems with set up

Reads ECM date

When go to save Factory EMC data it gets about 35 to 50% then brings up error Access 1 denided,,,

Have tried a number of times and also get error 502, 504 and once got error 280

 

Using the USB cable supplied with the TTS kit

Been through all the set up and down load instruction a number of times

Probably something real simple, any ideas

Make sure the anti virus and fire wall are turned off on the lap top.

have you had any luck sorting out your problem with tts mastertune ?

I had my 2010 vrcdx in for a tune with Phil Taiton they have a similar problem.

Yet to be resolved.

Error 280 is an error when installing the bootloader
Error 502 is an error where the system timed out waiting fro a response from the ECM
Error 504 ia an error in the received data from the ECM.

All these errors are communication errors which would lead me too believe that you have an issue with the cables that are being used.

No no luck in sorting the problem

The distributor sent me a map to download,, that worked,, but when tried to save the original ECM setting got the Access 1 denied error AGAIN so had to not save the settings. Sent an Email to TTS in USA but no satisfaction as yet,,,The Distributor Steelhorse in QLD said they had similar problem they said they were going to contact Steve Cole,, but once again nothing

What about the error,,,,,,, Access 1 Dinied ,,,,,what does that mean

Sent an email to TTS on 7th May 2012 ,,, had to follow up on 11th May,,, got reply on 11th that it was being passed onto Tech department

Now 21st May and no reply or solution

Very disappointed in the product and the service from TTS in the USA

Steel horse in Australia have tried their best and been most helpful

 

Not sure about any email but I gave you what the codes are telling us above in my May 17 post. Access 1 denied just is telling us the ECM is not allowing the TTS to work most likely due to one of the codes you posted. At this point what have you done to try to resolve it? As Hilly stated trying a different set of cables MIGHT be the answer, it could also be your PC causing an issue I just do not know for sure. Are you located close to anyone else on the board that might be able to help you out? Being as I know nothing about your area that maybe much faster then shipping everything back to get checked out.

I just want to try and get whatever problem you have solved as quick as we can.

Is there anyone in the Croydon Vic area ( outer eastern Suburbs) that may be able to lend me  set of TTS cables to try and establish problem as per above posts.

Anyone down under that can try and help Slick88 out??

My cables are too far away in Perth WA ( think LA to New Orleans or similar )

A weeks post time either way most likely

However with my recent experience of "low battery voltage" maybe worth trying the headlamp fuse out and the battery tender connected .

can't do any harm, remembering Steve here in Australia the headlights/lamps are hard wired to "on" all the time .

Also, may the problem be the "converter cable" USB to serial that many laptops have to use.

In my experience they're the most likely troublesome cables not the TTS / SERT cables

I use a Belkin F5U109

Again worth a try. I have seen these serial/USB cables go to shit !

Hey Slick if you have no joy before the weekend let me know and I can post mine. Overnight would be the go. Just post them back when you sort out you stuff. If you need them drop me a PM with your address etc. I gather you will need the USB to RS232 converter and the RS232 cable as well. ( That's what I have got)

Yes the plot thickens ?

Belkin cable is the serial to USB converter cable you need to connect up to the TTS cables that come with the TTS Dongle .

Got wee flashing lights that flash like fuckery when you're on the game mate !

On the other hand your cables may plug directly into yer laptop anyways ?
