Anyone smoked their rear indicator lenses on a 48?

I actually wanted to put on the HD indicator visors on the rear of my 48 to match the visors on the front, but don't want to damage em'trying to pry off as they are a sealed unit.  So am now planning on spraying them with Night Shades as posted by NJL http://www.hdforums.com.au/Default.aspx?tabid=71&view=topic&postid=421613&forumid=12.

Has anyone else done this on their 48?  Any tips to share, is it just a matter on taping upvery well and covering the bike and spraying a coat with em' on the bike?

No can do man, coz the rear lenses on 48 are well and truly stuck on. Not sure if anyone has tried taking them off.

i don't know how you would   smoke indicator lenses ,    wouldn't  the plastic be toxic for your lungs,  ciggies are bad enough

will, they will only fit the front, the rears on the sporties are "sealed" LED type.

I'm a painter by trade and I use two methods of tinting lamps first if black tint is required is to add a small amount of black it to some clear coat , will be dark and shiny , second , colored , using colored base coat . spray light coat and clear over , both work well but and you can use gloss or matt clear , practice on an old lamp first to work out you mix ratios and number of coats , if you don't like it you can wash off with thinners and polish the lenses back to stock

Sounds like Nightshades sounds better than it is. Has anyone come across a successful removal of the rear lenses?
