Hey men, glad to hear that someone cares about my whereabouts,
Still here men just had a few things on the go, had the little one home on holidays, driving me fucking mad.
The bike is going well, still trying to get used to the noisier tappetts, they are a bit louder than the standard ones.
The tune is not bad, but not 100% either, running fairly rich and blowing flames at times, a bit frustrating but will have to put up with it until I can get to Melbourne to see Ant from Maztech.
I've also got a vibration through the pegs at about 4 and a half thousand revs which dosent make me want to push on over those revs, I will get engine mounts checked when I can.
Performance wise it seems good, just like to get the tune sorted.
I would love some feedback about any of the above if any of you have any ideas.

Hey rans good to have ya back mate, sorry missed ya call back. i put the screaming eagle lifters in mine which quitened it down a bit, but its all money hey.
Have mates that winge about the viration prob a bit but i never noticed mine enough to piss me off.Dont know what the answer is there mate.
Mine run like shit till i got some ks on and got it tuned to. You will get it sorted.

Hey Chriso, I put the screamin eagle lifters in when I got the job done mate, just be good to have one to compare it to I suppose, my mate has a Peter stevens stage 3 but he didn't do lifters, fucked if I know mate....
Did Ando say the SE lifters were no good ????

Rans 2 pages back from this mate. seems a few concerns with the SE lifters. maybe depends a bit on what springs you are running.

I have the valve springs that come in the stage 4 kit ozy, fucked if I know mate, everything I do seems to be the wrong thing.... Might sell it and buy a Ducati, these Harley's are always an issue.....

hi readers any news or major probs wif yor stg iv mods as mine does make a bit of top end raket i listened wif big screwdriver put blade end on motor plastik end 2 ear does sound kliky klaky but seems in unison even listnenin 2 both heads separately ,ol screwdriver is a way 2 listen internally u can hear quite clearly internalls working both tops of engine sound same wen runnin but r claky is this normal ,ive been told is normal by ova hd owners but if anyone thinks or knows of probs wif these stg iv kits ,its kit u get wen bought from hd no changes from parts supplied in box ,motor performs perfectly wen demanded of jus would like 2 know of certain problems that owners have had if any SHINGLES jus under 3000klms at present av changed oil at 1000klms an from now not sure wat happens now regarding serviceing as lookin 4 new mechanic on gold coast , cant trust M & W as service person seems not 2 no as he is new team moto guy an doesnt get it, just wen i had become trusting of dealer an service managa hes gone an newbie is lost cripes ,i shoodnt av 2 feel dis way about bike work being done but after talkin guy at desk he made me feel uneasy ,even after we had exchanged no.s 2 order tyres an stuff he never rang bak ,i even went up an saw im an went through again still no ph. call well dat lost me ,so i went 2 sales offic all new dere 2 so told them about service dept guy an wat i was doin ,they jus said u will av 2 take up wif im doesnt giv ya a feelin of certaintanty or reassurance that booking ya bike in here 4 watever is rite thing gut feeling or nah she b rite mate an dese places not cheap an long way 2 get 2 ,well ive jus been given name of chap as i write who is da guy 2 see 4 bike serviceing an tunein ,was doin this as was writein an now av new chap 2 follow up an ring now mabe all is solved regarding my bike,guy who gave me new hd man been ridein hd long while also dragracer of hd an said has state of art equip in computa diagnos so i feel a bit at ease at moment BUT IF ANYONE HAS HAD PROBS WIF 103 STG IV SCREAMING EAGLE KIT BEING USED ON 96CI DYNA MODEL BIKE ,COULD YOU LET ALL DYNA OWNERS KNOW THANX SHINGLES

Shingle you will get top end noise with the MVA heads as the SE dual spring set up has a high seat pressure and loves slamming the valves shut, you will just have to get used to it.

The high spring pressure is a contributing factor to SE (JIMS) Lifter failure + the lifters are shit, OZYMAX changing to woods lifters is a good move IMHO.

I fitted AV&V beehive springs to my MVA heads and and it has quietened the topend down heaps

that's good to hear as opposed to hearing the top end

Actually only went with the woods lifters because I am using woods cams.
I thought the real B lifters were no longer available, although there is apparently some people that have a stock of them
