    Shingles if you are going to Bris for Dyno stop at Slacks Creek and have a chat to Fred at ProCycle Dyno, very professional and knowledgable. Not saying dont go to other shops but worth your time to talk with ProCycle

    Hey men,
    Any of you that have this kit installed using more oil than usuall??
    Was reading some info tonight, and one bloke said he was using a qrt per thousand Kay's.
    Then another dude stated that most of the time the dealers don't check the cylinders for round, and most times the cylinders are not round out of the box and should be bored first, anyone know anything about this???

    Much more info for ya but one mate is looking into it as he is not happy.
    Will fill ya in when I know more. So far mine is good but only time will tell

    Common issue with the SE upgrade kits

    I got a mate that didn't know it used oil until we were a days ride from the bigsmoke and he needed oil, and the local servo didn't have any

    yes tapered bores and not bedding the rings in correctly does it every time

    Can't they just bore them before fitting??? What are the dealers saying to these blokes????

    So ando does that problem include stock barrles? cause my
    build used the stock barrels as it is 103 stock and hoping
    for that reason I might be excluded from the problem.

    Chriso, If your bike didn't use oil then you should be all good, But I would of done a compression and leak down test before I changed.
    wouldn't hurt to do them anyway

    Back when I did a 103 kit I had bores measured up for roundness first and mine where good, but like I saida 100 times there is better 103 kits on the market than the SE kits.

    I am in the proccess of putting some domed pistons in my 120r and my local Stealer has recommended an oversize piston so I can machine bores and machine out the Taper or outa roundness

    Thanks mate I have been away for a mth so have not had chance to put ks on it since first service
    but I will keep a close eye on it now.

    ive had a 103 kit to my bob ported heads 254E cam hi comp forged pistons stock injectors race tuner dyno tune and put out 102bhp at rear wheel and 109 torque 100tqe at about 2700 and 100 tqe at 5250 and 100hp at 5250 to 109 at 6200 ,,have a street glide the same but 255 cam and only has 89 hp and under 100 tqe but was not dyno tuned but i dynoed it to see what it had >>> J.D.

    shingles here ive had my fatbob dynoed after running in period or whatever u wann call it as i jus rode bike hard from moment i picked up from dealer i told him how i ride no mamby pamby shit here just twist spin an go ,he said i wont hurt motor good says i burnout soon as hit street its so easy to do without even trying ist second jus a little throttle an shes on ,very controllable holds direction ahead well jus steps a bit 2 the right wen spnin through gears not much though, u can play with throttle wen spinin wheel there is an abundance of power there i like 2 hav fun not jus sittin there doin burnouts, i like off lights ist 2nd smokein across intersection u can lift front wheel easy with clutch control if u can ride that is ,very hard 2 ride bike in a normal manner but thats why we ride bikes isnt it ,i dont putt around even in traffic jus make a lot of noise that seems 2 clear a path 4 me this bike is loud u can hear it comeing ,very hard 2 ride at speed limits so i dont it likes 2 sit 130 -140 on highway thats its happy cruisin speed in 6th u need 2 be in 5th 110 kys -120 all speeds hav increased due 2 engine mods gearin is all changed u will find u r doin 20kys mor per hr in every gear an its not hurtin bike i.e. its jus that uve changed the whole character of bike this is not the bike u had b 4 no similararity it mite look same but start up an its evil mine crakles its an awsome sound v&h big shot staggered ,well worth puttin on performance an sound i asked b 4 we did dyno should i buy a different pipe iwas tlod no pipes r good an he was right ,i was ridein in rain got caught comin bak from byron was annoying ,was sittin on 120 in 5th like i said everythin changes mine doesnt like doin that in 6th , anyway i had 2 change lanes so i gave it a handfull still in 5th i mean i opened it up an started spinning tyre once cams really got workin an continued 2 spin only stopped when i changed up mind u road was wet ,but jus grabbin a handfull wile cruisein at 120 now that impressed me at first i thought oil or sumthin but i could spin at my will once i broke traction an kept doin so until i was ready 2 change up ive never had a bike do that an ive had plenty this is dyno stuff 117+hp 117+ torque irrispective of readouts an watever this is a major improvement stok hp was 66+hp 79+torque so there it is the facts of my upgrade i lov my bike its real now like a harley should b wen u buy from new, hope this gives readers what they want 2 hear i cant do piks on ere dont no how but i can ride a motorcycle like they should b Shingles

    Hey shingles, are you running the 259e cams?? And do the heads from the engine kit have the screamin eagle logo on the side of them?? Thanks in advance man.

    Ill answer for him Rans  no screaming eagle logos anymore for the new stage 4s and yes they are the 259es. Like me shingles has recently had the kit put in and the new ones dont use the 260 anymore.

    yeah he obviosly enjoys himself but i can support the wheel spinning stuff. i dont do it all the time but its easy to do off the lights on these things
    My bike is also very unhappy at 120 in 6th.
