Mine went in at 8000k's. Was thinking of putting some S&S 625 gear drive cams in with some new lifters at some stage. But the way it goes that won't happen till it goes kaboom. Just riding it and enjoying.

Always liked the thought of a 120R in the Fatbob too. Gotta get a ride on a 120R motored bike before I think about that though. There's another million options out there.

Might do the gear drives over winter though?

Yeah it's around that, Toying with a few options in the head at the moment. Missus won't let me buy another bike, So modify the one ya got is what's on the table. I could sell the XR but I love that in the hills. Options,Options. It'll work out and its not bad how it is.

Might look at that too. Top end can get a bit noisy. Want some of them black rocker covers too. It's on the round to it list.New Pirelli's go on this week after finally wearing out the Metzelers.

They're just a bit vague and slippery with the stg 4, Also thought the metzeler were pretty good in the dry but given that I seem to do a fair bit of rain riding( not by choice) I was chasing something that'll give a bit more feel in the wet and cold. I live in the hills outta Melbourne so the weather varies a lot, I mean a lot. Most tyres seem to hold on once the temp's above 25 but below that some struggle. From what I've heard the Pirelli's are the shit so on they go. Not interested in mileage just grip and keeping it shiny side up.

The Metzelers are alright in the wet, Better than the Dunlops but I'm hoping the Pirellis are better than them. It's just a matter of finding the best available for your style.

Trust me if I had to get Metzelers again I wouldn't be crying either. Just not Dunlops.

Yeah it's worse then it looks.

Yeah I think rear tyre wear is fairly high when you don't let that clutch out at girly revs. I've got a couple of mates that still ride jappas and they're more than a little surprised with the no brake dump the clutch and still smoking well down the road in second.lol.

Gotta admit it is kinda cool watching the jaws drop.

Well Pauly She' definitely still smokig in second and going down the road, So if you're trying to belittle me you can fuck off, If not Sorry for my mis interpretation.

For someone that's raced and owned lots of quick bikes man, I find it hard to believe ya haven't seen one that can smoke up the road in second.......

what's quick for some obviously ain't for others.

Mine smokes easily in second to rev limiter off the lights, maybe you need a stage 4 mate instead of a stocker

why wouldnt he be direspectful pauly? you want his video of it? pull your fukin head in. lets get back to the engine mods thing. i am fairly new to harleys and 48 years old and i was tossing up about buying a new zx14 or a 2002 fatty for roughly the same price. i went for the fatty which is stock and one year later i am happy i did buy the harley. 70 hp compared to 167 hp. what i dont get yet is why do people buy harleys and work the engines to stage iv? if you are looking for perfomance there are cheaper and easier and probably better options. maybe next year i will get bored with the 70 horses and feel the need to fit a turbo or something but i doubt it. i like my bike the way it is

well thats easy to answer because making a harley fast is a lot more fun than just buying a fast bike

    and cause I can

and sizzling in second is easy on even a stock harley especially a dyna with a skinny back tyre

I would not own a stock Harley,no where near as much fun and I don't understand why people would not
kit there Harley up... People spend thousands on fucking chrome and shit when there could have a heaps
better performing engine for a few grand...Each to there own I guess.

And a japper is out of the question, uncomfortable ugly fucken things.
I'm a one eyed harley man and always will be so even looking at other bikes don't interest me.

    Close minded?? Yes
    Give a fuck ?? No
