    Hi,
    Luckylick13, i know chriso and his mates are pretty happy with the results of the stage4, they hammer them and do the km's man, chriso posted chart just recently and i think it was above 110 on both of them

    Only going on what i see these blokes do with there bikes, chriso probably give you bit more info

    From my simple view i reckon harley parts go together well and that shouldnt be undervalued

    Crosses at 5250rpm no matter what, as long as tq and hp have been scaled the same

    I'd be asking for new tins coz of that scratch. With the tuner, does the module stay on the bike or is it something that plugs into the bike? My Purchase order for a softail slim has "32109-08C KIT-EFI SUPER TUNER" on it for $527.24. Just wondering if thats basically just a chip in orange plastic thats stays on the bike or if I get something separate? If I want to look at tunings myself I think I have to purchase cables and software, will that work with the existing module?

    yep, SAE is a unit of measuring HP/TQ, accepted by most as the most accurate/measurable/comparable unit. Not too much to worry about really
    Hp and TQ scales are different by the looks, hence the different rpm crossover. To compare your HP to TQ, scales really need to be the same for accurate assessment.

    Mines got 102 hp 109 tq with a 254e cam maybe they printed out the wrong dyno run.... Fingers seem low that's all for a stage 4 ..... J D

    Gday Max, Pretty happy with the outcome, feels strong all the way to 6k. Cant wait to take her for a run down the track to see what shes got.

    Haha I actually thought you where reading the dyno sheet wrong, could always have more though. I'm going to lose my licence soon.

     

    As for the 106 kit, I was pushing my luck with the BOSS as it was and I couldn't squeeze it into my budget. I'm really happy with what Pro Cycle have put together for me, it a different bike. I've got some Progressive 444 rear shocks coming as we'll.

    It should be a different bike with that motor, That would have to be close to the best 103 low cost result I have seen.
    Fitted a set of JRI rear shocks last week but haven't got to try them yet

    1. well when i put my bike in hands of shop i asked questions ,actually even before i gave bike 2 them i asked specificaly is there anything else that needs 2 be changed or added to make upgrade 2 stg iv successfull and not have to come back because of some over looked part that is needed to get maximum from install,i asked about pipes and we discussed and reffered to screaming eagle recomended pipes that will work sucessfully and proven .I stated that lets get it right first time coz i wanted V&H PRO PIPES and was told that the V&H big shot staggered would be best for my bike and there already on bike ,i asked him are you sure those pipes are best im not worried if i have to change them ,i just want it right and was assured that they have built quite a few 103 stg iv's and have tuned sucessfully with pipes i have ,and am i happy shit yeah just needs time to warm up my bike it will not run properly untill well over ten min when warming up engine has the wierdest sounds ,seems like runnin on one pot then jumpin between each other stuttering an sounds wrong but good ,ive been back and told service dept and told sum are like that ,but when warmed up and u crack throttle open it responds instantly no hesitation hard bike to ride sensably and abide laws ah well ,lets just sayyou now youve been riding sumthing a little different and people will hear you coming ,just filling up at garage gets eye's and when start up doe's gather attention ,geez its good 2 be able 2 have such a machine and ride it like i stole it otherwise why bother upgrading motor ,didnt know  it would be so exhilerating imagine having more ,its only a feeling we as motorcyclists can feel in our physicall self and you can describe 2 someone but nothing like being in saddle SHINGLES now people say 2 me dont ride your bike over coz all diss shit on telly god all fukin mighty more fukin shit i dont need bloody coppers hassleing coz your on bike ,fuk take every thing away cars bikes and we all just walk everywhere

    Hey shingles, geez ya typing skills have improved ol mate.

    Thought it's about time for an update on my stage 4.
    35,000 ks clicked up after a 2000 k run with 20 blokes through
    new south and vic this past few days.

    This bike has loosened right up now, not comfortable knocking it into
    5th gear unless I'm doing 120.

    Bike bloody screams and is a lot of fun. Goes fast stops quick. I can't
    get enough of it and at this stage I don't need to chase anymore power
    and am still happy with what I have.

    It's still using oil but so did the other 2 stage 4s on our recent run and
    they all used the same amount and were all built by different builders.

    I absolutly cain this thing and it handles everything I throw at it. I will
    continue to do that till it breaks. I'm not a tinkerer, changing tunes and
    parts and fucking around with it all the time.i prefer to spend my time riding it
    I got kit put in when bike was
    brand new, with SE lifters, tuned it and have flogged it since . When it breaks
    I will let yas know.
    Then I will maybe chase more power with my next build.

    hey Shingles, have you done a run on a drag strip with the modded motor , if so what times you running ? im thinking of putting 103 kit in my 96 ? not sure yet.

    nah no drag strip runs ol mate fukin strip few hrs away an all mates that did do drags dont go anymore ,an yes it would be ok if strip closer but unless your really commited its not really going to work for you as far as times go ,i have drag raced in past on other brands and its not as easy as it may look .Launching my bike from standstill an tryin 2 hook up with full throttle will only result in wheelspin an a bit sideways for as long as you want untill rev limiter hits ,is great fun but not gunna get 2 win proper sanctioned dragstrip run against more seasoned riders if drag racing is going 2 be a pursuit of how fast you can get bike down quarter mile .Im sure if you google question there will be a ton of facts an figures 2 give indication of what 2 expect from modification ,it takes a while to get used to how much throttle an clutch engagement to get bike of line with least amount wheelspin but most forward propulsion possible from first gear 2 second gear an so on ,but what exactly are you after more get up an go just in general or some thoughts of drag racing either way i know that youll have a grin from ear to ear so regardless of drag strip times ,you will use a lot more fuel wear tyres out in no time an probably get booked speeding and bike wont enjoy being just puttin around town and will to have right exhaust to get tuned and exhaust noise will be offensive if you live in closeness 2 others an start up early 4 work an you must warm up for a lot longer before useing will be nothing like your bike was and these are just some of the benifits you will gain sounds good A ,well what do u think is this really what you want its as much fun u can have with your pants on ,a stg iv motor is quite aggressive with smallest turn of throttle like my figures of actual performance gained HP was 66 now 117 and tourque went from 89 -117 im an aggressive rider so this was no problem 4 myself 2 be acustomed with upgrade av owned 50+ motorcycles in my time ,and also forgot 2 mention your gearing will feel all wrong you will be able to obtain higher speed in gearing like i cant change into top untill at least 120 k or you will make engine labour and will harm these motors are not chug chug chuggers like be in to high a gear an just open throttle cannot do that to these motors they like to be ridden with a bit more gusto anyway thats my honest opinion an others possibly will agree none of this is bad im just layin cards out as best i can if ya wanna go like a scalded cat than this is for you SHINGLES

    mate if i wanted fast ill just hop on zxr or hyabusa 300ks 4 under 20k been there dont miss it or maybe i do, y do we as humans got this thing about propelling ourselves as fast as we dare think fast enough wen we hit the spot of total exileration of fullfillment in our senses ,an answer 2 your question nah doesnt go like hayabusa what i was tryin  2 get across engine mods fantastic for small outlay but really changes like ill just start up an head off like used 2 nah engine just wont behave like our bike was not somethin like were u start up an ride away, wont like it splutter a bit an carry on short rides 2 shops an back an only aggresive if you demand it but city traffic not its happy land,thats an honest opinion on how mine behaves ,sorta changed a lot of short rides 2 just get something they love 2 be flogged only the warming up time can be a pain and ive tried jus 2 hop on an go from home an just wont operate like bike of old geezzzez thers a lot bigger motors u can get but wen we change something from what was a smooth easy going motorcycle to i want more than certain caricteristics of operating vehicle will change and thats all was tryin 2 say SHINGLES

    Well after another quick 3000k' run the old fatbob stage IV is running perfectly got 38000k on it now, Just doesn't do anything wrong at all. cept for the bit of oil. 6th gear cruizin at 140 love it. If ya gotta clear the air just knock it back and wrap it on. Have to be the best thing ya can buy from a harley dealer. The stage IV kit that is.
