I've noticed a few have had bikes over 250cc on their L's / P's, I'm guessing these are in NSW when that loophole was around, where you could ride a Katana 1100 on L plates if you had a full car license.
Seen a Few when I was based there.
Am I right?
great thread fellas, yeah i got through my Ls on chook chasers but the first road bike was a Yammy xs750 tripple, quite rare now but before that was riding around on mates Honda four with graveyard theme airbrushed on the tank, ha wild bit of gear it was but was not mine so cant claim it as my first.
GT 750 Suzuki Waterbottle a blue one ....
Ok, back in 1998, a brand new 1998 Suzuki GSX250F Across Urban Sports Bike......in Candy Teal....which was a kinda light fuckin blue.
Damn that thing was well balanced. Fuel tank was under the seat so the centre of gravity was lower. Nice bike that one.

My first true road bike was in '92 with a Suzuki RGV 250M, but back in '85 had a Yamaha IT 200L enduro bike. Doesn't make me feel like such an old c*nt after looking at some of the dates in this thread!! Cheers boys!
Not much of a mod Allde, just really really broke and like the style, I didn't think I was interested in power back then just wanted to cruise around, of course I was about 40 KG lighter back then, (I used to keep fit by having to flinstone it up any hills), not sure if it would move now
nice pick up on the Get Smart reference, you are the first to get it,
I started out with an old Honda K2 750, it was a god bike to learn.
