    looking good BDA103

maybe just a refelection in the first photo but did you mark the fork lower removing the reflectors?
any way how did you go about removing them. It's a much cleaner look IMHO. smoke the indicator lenses and it would look real sweet

Roadrunner how do you like the pipes?

I like them but not sure about how loud they would be, I need to consider the neighbours who surprisingly are all older then me haha

RR, whats the verdict on the risers? I have been thinking of going the same way with the 6.5 pullbacks as well. Good looking bike mate.

"What are peoples feelings about 6th gear? Dealer was telling me for legal riding in Australia it is almost usless, Lower gearing to bring it in earlier is not so easy to do with only a front pulley being available. Maybe the stage iv kit gives it enough grunt to hold 6th at a lower speed with out lugging for those select few that have it."

I rarely use 6th but do occassionally on the freeways which are 110km/hr. The motor is still responsive enough to able to pull it no worries at that speed but anything under about 120 it just seems "happier" in 5th - sounds better too!! From memory (or should I say from sitting on the couch!!) I think 100km/hr = 2250RPM and 110 = about 2500rpm when in 6th. The bike seems to respond best around the 2800RPM mark.

I picked up my Fatbob at the end of Oct 2011. I just came back from a little ride and I now have 32000kms on her. Great bike. The only problem that I have had is the exhaust bracket that bolts on near the gearbox coming loose. The guys at Peter Stevens in Adelaide were very helpful with the warranty work. I can not recommend them highly enough, thanks guys.

She is fitted with SE aircleaner and 254e cams and tuner. I through her in 6st gear at 100ks and there are no problems. I even overtake in 6st unless I need to hurry then its take you pick.

I would also like to thank the guys at Kingaroy motorycles for the great service they provided.

I do also like the steel belted tyres as when you are unable to lay your hands on a new tyre they will last somewhat longer when running on the steel belt. It did get me around Australia in 2 1/2 weeks though. I had a 4 day layover with my mum in Mackay.

I hope that you guys on the east have some fine whether soon and I have only been back a week and for 90% of the trip it was fine if not a bit chilly in Vic and NSW.

By the way, I am from Perth.

    stay safe

Yeah I'm of a similar opinion to Road Runner and Wolf Dreaming about the aircleaner setup. I ordered an S&S stealth aircleaner kit, which arrived the other day and turned out to be the wrong backplate which didn't fit the throttle body....not happy Jan. Anyway I've advertised it for sale in the parts for sale section of this forum, cause it was too much of a F*+K around to send it back.
