Bobber Builders/Engineers

    Hi folks

I know this forum deals mainly with HD but I am after some info from 'those who know' regarding Trumpy Bobber builders - ie who can build a bobber for me?

I have nearly completed rebuilding a 1976 T140V Trumpy engine (that's a total rebuild and squeaked out to 904cc,beefed up everything from bottom end to g/box). I can do wiring/electronics and engine builds but - can't weld or machine or paint plus Broken (Down) Hill does not have any engineering dudes to tick and flick the sucker.

I am a bit pissed off also at the amount of crap required for ADR compliance - its becoming ridiculous at the amount of crap you have to have hanging off of a bike to make it compliant/legal to ride on our fucking goat tracks they call roads - How is a front fender going to improve the safety of the rider or a pedestrian in an accident??? (Rant finished!)

Anyway, I need some info on a person/business/company that can build it (I will supply the motor) and have it ready for RTA check for a reasonable amount of dollars ($10k - $15kmax) - Any help is most welcome!

    Cheers

There's a custom bike place in Broken Hill. I saw them in a copy of Heavy Duty mag a little while back........Bolton's Cycle Works I think.

    Maybe try them.

Thanks Crackers! These guys are a sheet metal fabrication business that grew a sideline of show bike production (at ridiculous prices) and I don't think they have the engineering capability to get them ADR approved here in Broken Hill.

    Cheers
