    Hey Guys,

Anyone used or know of peacemaker exhausts.
They have a little switch in them to change the flow of gass, so you can have it straight through (loud) or flick the switch and push the gas through the baffle (Quite).

This would be ideal for me.... Perfect for the mornings!

Ive been looking about and these sound awesome.
Peter Stevens said they could fit them for 1.2k so they are a bit on the steep side though... I think they would require a remap/tune as they do increase hp...

EDIT - FYI: Peter Stevens had never heard of them before, i had to give them a part number i pitched from their supplier... They said they quoted 2.5 hours labour cause they had no idea how to install them :P

    Fa1c0n,
I read your other post about your dilemma with noise. I too am in a similar situation.
In another thread, the guys recommended some pipes which do a similar thing - but they were 2.2k just to buy... Not fitted. These sound cheap.

I had a look on the National Cycle website and found the Aussie Distributor. Cassons in NSW. Dyna slip on pipes are $999.
On the National Cycle website, there are some testimonials and a guy did comment on the need for a new air filter and tuner module.
I have to say, they aren't cheap, but the cost may bet well worth it - neighbours can be hard to please...

looks trick, but what is it powered by? like electric or cable? also i would think eventually its going to carbon up and stop opening or closeing, so would want a good warranty on the product.

Im not sure how "loud" the loud setting is... On the website it says the loud is 98dB... But it doesnt say if that at idle or full rev? (see this: http://www.nationalcycle.com/catalogue/Peacemakers.shtml ))

@Krash_kinkade Its got an actuator that pushes what looks like a cable to mechanically open the valves i think.

Full system exhausts would be well over 100dB yeah?

I've got a set of Peacemakers on my 2010 FXD. They are pretty good. But not perfect.

I'd estimate on the closed setting they are legal but definitely noisier than the standard system. Open they are loud, like any straight through pipe would be - but probably quieter than my old V&H straightshots (even with the quiet baffle).

I've also fitted K&N air cleaner and have SE tuner to connect to the PC, I basically have it set to Std engine, SE filter and SE mufflers. Seems okay - perhaps shows up a little lean when in the open position for a long period. Given the effective two states of tune I'd consider something like Cobra Fi2000 PowrPro - but I'd have to save up for that.

    The issues:

The mufflers were designed without the Aus bypass valve so there was some cutting of the muffler bracket required. (Note SE tuner leaves valve open all the time - as it should be!)

At the moment the electric actuator motor is dead. This seems to happen to a few - if you take the web as authoritive! Waiting on a reply from Peacemaker now.

Generally email support has been good.

2 1/2 hours fitting is probably about right for a first time fitment. 1 1/2 after you know what you're doing...

Akrapovic also have a set of exhausts with a manual valve actuation (simple is smarter).
