I tried the Vison Plus's in my car - seemed to blow one every couple of months - Had the car checked and all seemed ok. Went back to the std bulbs and did have a problem.  That was in a 2000 Mazda, not a bike but still put me off.  Tried this in about 2005 so it was a couple of years ago.

Will be interested to see how u go with them in a bike.

Mines a 98 and it ran ok with the bulb blown - only way I found that it had blown was the high beam indicator stayed on. Checked the light and the bulb was history.

My 08 RKC using stock 60/55 bulbs is brilliant! You can see as well as in any well lit car. Then turn the passing lights on and you can go spotlighting. As found out trying to getter better light on my wide glide, it all in the reflector behind the bulb. The modern light has better faceting for directing and concentrating the light much better. You will notice the new bikes have clear lenses as opposed to the old style where the light was diffused and faceted through the thicker glass lense. If you use too higer wattage with the new bikes, its possible you will melt or distort the plastic reflectors. The older RK probably have chromed steel reflectors though. I would look at a new reflector and lense before the bulb
