Rear End Wobble

Just after some experiences if any on Late Model 2010-11+ Softails with 'The Wobble"

Is anyone still experiencing this? I would have thought HD would have ironed it out, but reading the 'True-Track' website, it appears not.

As a first timer on a HD (Still waiting for my bike BTW) I have spoken to mates with customs, and they have experienced this, but their bikes are all pre 2010.

Is it that the rear swing arm is rubber mounted and thus has some play or loss of ragiditity through-out cornering and higher speeds? or is it to do with the shock absorber geometry?

    Appreciate any feedback..

    Blue.

Check your suspension settings, when they come out they are set on the softest setting, try changing it to a bit harder and things might improve a bit.

Thanks chriso, but too late mate. A mate has a V rod, and its like riding a fat chick at 180 kph, he's put a 280 on the rear and thinks it's just the tyre size, but it used to wobble a little before with a 260 on it.. Maybe its just what AJ56 suggests, tighten it up a little.

    Not sure ?

Hi all...The newer Softails dont wobble. The older ones were horrible for the wobble. My bet is your tyre pressure to low.Tyre pressure should be 42.

    Cheers Oneball,

Haven't got my bike yet, just been hearing peoples stories regarding the wobble, also the True-Track site. I was wondering if it was still a concern.

    Thanks.
