gday everyone, kinda new to the world of harleys but loving every minute of it.

i have a 96 low rider which has a poxy rock hard springer solo seat on it.  when i bought the bike it came with a HD 2 up seat, ive gone to bolt it on but cant figure out  how it goes on.  there is 2 holes in the rear guard but they go no where near lining up with the seat.  it has a bracket which looks like it slips under a loop just behind the fuel tank, thats all i can see.

any help is appreciated, sick of gettign a numb arse!

     Gidday Mate

Welcome to the forum looks like a neat looking bike you have there. I have a 93 lowrider and although i think that the frames may have changed beetween our bikes the seat should go on the same. I can see a gap beetween the frame and the seat and i wonder if some other brackets have been added to the frame to support the seat and i imagine some springs. If this is the case it is most likely the reason that your seat doesnt line up with the holes in the guard. My seat can have the pillion removed from the main seat wich is why there are two holes but you have to remove the bracket from behind the pillion seat where it screws to the guard and put it back in place of the bracket that holds the two halves together. There may or not be a nut that is welded to the guard from underneath you will have to find a screw to fit it. If you dont have one or if there are holes without nuts you can buy a part from a harley shop that is a screw within a screw with a nylock on it. Your bike looks very low and if you dont want to have to take the shockers off everytime you have to remove the seat it is 25 bucks well spent. Hope this helps mate if not i suggest you put up some closer pictures of the current seat and how it fits on your bike and maybe a picture of the bottom of the seat you are trying to put on so people on here can get a better look.      Cheers
