Listening to the radio on the way to Newie today and heard Altapac were spruking some paint protection film that is virtually invisible that protects your paint from chips etc. Would this be any good for a tank on a bike or are paint chips a rarity on a tank?

    Any ideas?

Looks to be the same stuff that Ozishield sell.

I have a roll of it but just waiting for the new tins to turn up. Going to put it under the touring seat as well as it has rubbed a mark on the guard.

1.0m x 600mm VentureShield cost me about $60 from Ozishield. Couldn't see a price on the  ALTAPAC site

A friend of mine has the Altapac protection on his bike (front fender and front of tank). From two metres away you can't see it but closer you can. He reckons he wouldn;t get it again as not worth the money (wasn;t cheap - but he had it cut and fitted at the shop). As you would expect his experience is anything big enough that would chip/dent the paint generally breaks through the plastic layer in any case and causes damage, just not quite as much I would think.

Cougar but I should have called him Bear. Give up trying to keep a collar on him becuause his neck's as wide as his head.

He likes to play fetch but I can't throw the sticks he chooses

Its hard to find a dog of his build now days. They seem to all be little midget things. I thought a man of your stature could throw a stick like that? hahahahaha
