Tried to do a phone order for parts for my 95 Triumph sprint, and the bloke in the parts department who knows me well said that Team moto had a new policy on phone orders, they want:

50% deposit ( Fair enough that's ok by me)

    Your name

    Address

    Home phone number

    Credit card number and

    Drivers licence number.

An ID thief would be salivating for that type of info, Team moto computers may be ok but if their system get hacked, its the poor bloody customers who have to go through all the hassle and expense to get their ID back. I know its happened to me before, taken years and its still ongoing.

Team Moto shove your policy where joolia's got her head.

Don't see why they need or think they have the right to ask for your driver’s licence to order parts. I use a debit card for any online or phone purchases & I only put enough money in it to cover what I need.

Been caught once with some prick using my details on a fake card in France.

Name address and phone number Yes. Credit Card for deposit Yes. License Number GAGF! Its not needed to order parts nor is it any business of theirs what your license number is. 'What if you were unlicensed and doing up a bike while waiting to get your license or you are disqualified and serving your suspension time?
Get your gear elsewhere and tell them why you are doing it.
