well for starters it has a straight valve train geometry, unit construction, it's also easy to set up for single runner induction as four separte cams all gear driven. the cases have same amount of meat between the lifters & the barrels front & back. also Australia's Quickest Harleys are Four Cam like the sportster and put out around 800HP.
