Hi all
Iam after some advice on where to buy a slim low fiiting helmet from if any one can help out
Cheers
Hey GUN100,I just went through all of this and the only one that is legal and looks half decent is an RJ's helmet, used to be KBC. Thats if you can find one, they are sorta like the old Eldorado helmets, maybe not quite as small a shell but looks better than the fish bowl I was wearing even with mosta the foam cut out. You can get em in flat black with or without studs (for a visor), although most of the dealers seem to be stocking black with a skull or whatever painted on the back. They also seem to be running out of stock quickly so maybe RJ's are not gunna make em anymore ?? If you have to buy one over the net, order a larger size because they are a small fit. They are a fiberglass shell about $140.
Thanks for all the feed back guys i have found one today its a THH its legal and it looks the good and is comfy also lol, matt black no studs just what ive been looking for, But dont tell anyone that i found it in a scooter shop in Hobart of all places??
HaHaHa ........We wont tell anyone
I thought the THH helmet looked bigonmehead, It musta been my head.
the small did so i put on a medium and it sat down over my forehead more and was better fittingg, but all my other helmets are small guess everyone different
Got my THH skull cap in the mail today, Back to the days were helmets were optional, amazing how well the bike sounds without the helmet. this is were its from

Which shop did you get ur helmet Gun? I am in Hobart too, and I was going to get one off internet, but if there is one here well....
If you can find an RJ'S helmet they are the same as KBC and as I said before seem to be the smallest shell out there. As far as replacing them go I had my eldorado for about 15 years but I don't put that much importance on my head.New safety regs have stopped all the smaller lids being made.
A good mate of mine who is a fairly honest bloke got pulled over by the FEDERALIES about 6 months ago wearing an open face lid he has had since he was 17 he is know 49ish. The Cop fined him and told him to get a new helmet "which he did" (but hated wearing it) and 3weeks later he got pulled up by the same cop wearing his old helmet again. When the officer asked him why he hadn't bought a new helmethe simply told the cop that he did. He was being honestbut he also got another fine. He is still wearing the old one so if nothing else he is persistant.
I like the look of American made Fulmer open face helmets. The testers in Hot Bike are often seen wearing the USA flag model for bike reviews (sans peak). They appear to sit nice and low on the brow and are not as bulborous as most of our offerings over here. Thing is you can only buy them through stores in the states, no internet sales and while they are DOT certified obviously no Aust safety sticker. Though that could be easy fixed with an older helmet and a hair dryer !
