Does anyone know for sure if there is a catalytic converter in the headers of the 2012 Dyna's?  The owners manual say's no, which surprised me a little.  Yep, I can eventually pull the mufflers off but just asking first. Thanks.

 Fred, pretty sure if they do have cats, it'll be in the muffler/s.

The US models with cats had them in the collector, but as you know the export models have that silly flapper valve there instead.

If they're in the mufflers, then you're laughin!

My whole original system is hangin up in my shed, I never looked too close up the mufflers. I think from memory that one muffler had a smaller outlet than the other, this may be where the cat is, just guessin though!

at the tattoo show up here the cops were checkin every bike an few got pinched by the pollution control mob for no cats they put a little sticker on end of ya muffler an if no cat will change colour they do it with cars an are startin to check more bikes if ya got no cat bike over the pits an a heavy fine ..when i had my muffler shop i got hit with 7k fine for takin a cat off an ed falcon and owner got 1500 they gettin harder an now with carbon shit law its opened the doors for the epa mob to go ballistic
