Hi all,
I thought I should introduce myself now that I've posted a couple of times after lurking for a while. I'm a new HD owner but have had a few other bikes over the years.
Since bringing the bike home in early Jan I've 'tarted' it up some with LED indicators, smoked lenses, chrome switch covers, levers and clutch/master cylinder cover. I've also fitted the laydown license plate, and the usual pegs etc. More importantly I have also added a heavy breather and SE tuner so I'm pretty happy with the performance too.
Now I'm checking out a set of VH pipes rather than the SE slip ons........an endless process I guess!
Seems Harleys attract some attention when you are out and about....I was attacked and bitten (on the thigh!) by an English sheepdog whilst waiting in traffic over the weekend.......that was an experience!!! Luckily I was wearing my kevlars or the bastard would have taken a piece I think!!
Cheers
welcome, Great, yes, yes, OMG, didya kick him. Maybe he thought it was another dog upon seing his reflection in all that bling! (LOL). Nice ride by the way!
Thanks Guys.
It was bizarre, it came out of nowhere and I was thinking he'd just make some noise and piss off. My thoughts changed a millisecond before he sunk his teeth into me. I was too busy holding the bike up (I recon he was 35-40kg and hit with some speed!) and the clutch in to have a crack at him at that point. Seems this particular sheepdog doesn't like loud bikes. A buddy of mine thinks we should go back over the weekend with him on the back with an iron bar; see if we can change this dogs point of view...
Welcome Saddlesaw hope you enjoy the forum and nice looking bike.
Welcome
G'day S.D.M.F, I'm actually considering the V&H straight shots as I already have the S.E Slip ons and I think the lines of a straight pipe look a little cleaner. I'm a bit worried about all the posts about them being too loud though (is there such a thing??)
cheers
