Had my scooter for a while now, a friend found out I bought a new bike, so wants to ride it. I said no F*ck*n way, then calls me selfish.

He has no Bike License, only ever ridden dirt bikes, I say F*ck* him.

Can't see him forking out any cash if he totals it.

Anybody else been in this situation?

Been there, told him to go fuck himself.

Aside from the chance of damage, exactly what do you get out of letting him have a ride?

If he really wants to try a Harley, most dealers can arrange a test ride.

You should only ever offer a ride to someone, they should never ask. It's a sign of respect when someone offers you a ride on there pride and joy.

Tell him to get stuffed. cheeky bugger. Not much of a mate to say that.  If he gets done, you do too for lettin him ride it. + ins won't pay, + . Just go on heaps of choice rides and tell him how awsome road ridin is and make him bulk jealous!!!

I'm with Ross on this one.
You could use my old trick of it's only insured if I'm riding it. Use that one for both car and bike and the "30 year old minimum age" if some young buck asks.
BTW I have never asked anyone to ride their bike but my brother in law insists I ride his every time his softy has come back from having work done. Funny part is I have offered him my bike and he has never ridden it.
Lastly dity bike riders are dumb - I should know. (LOL)

I let one good mate ride my old dyna and he came back bagging it. He asked if he could ride my tourer after bagging me for buying a old mans bike. He keeps asking and I keep saying fuck off and buy your own. I will let my son ride it when he gets his full brief and some practice on my old Norton Combat.

I have a cuple of mates been knocking around with for over 20 years, they have rode my bike on occasions like my wedding and what not and i have borrowed theres to do runs when mine has been off the road. In saying that i know they can ride and treat my bike like thier own. its only a selected cuple that would ride it.

No licence means a double Noooo....friends like this ...you don't need, tell him to fuck off bigtime
I've allowed a couple of very close friends feel the extra power the thundermax gives but they were good and vastly experienced Harley riders and very short rides at that, with me riding their bikes right alongside...

I never borrow or lend & my mates wouldn't ask.

Probably the only good advice my father ever gave me - never lend your car, bike or wife as they will come back fucked.
