My vest is almost 100% a military memorial, especially to my late father, and his brother who was killed on a bombing raid over Germany. The back patch is a coat of arms and the squadron motto (which coincidentally is also out family motto) Fortus et Fidus meaning "Brave and Loyal.
These patches have been discussed under another thread about the girl Ria who made them, and everyone has commented about how respectful it is. For the first time though I was challenged today when I went for my first ever ride wit h a local social riding group, a good bunch who raise money for kids charities. Three of them commented on the patch.
I'm not wanting to disrespect anyone or bring grief down on other people I'm riding with but I figured I'd get away with this because Ulysses promote that they have approval from "outlaw clubs" - their words not mine - to wear the Ulysses patch on the back as long as there are no other patches. They can wear it on the front with other patches.
Im going to send a couple of PMs to some forum members with connections but does anyone have a comment? Especially if you are connected with a serious MC.
Far from being disrespectful like a Sons of Anarchy thing, this is the opposite and not pretending to be anything it's not.
Ok I'm about to get a bunch of aggressive comments but serious feedback would be appreciated.
Would I get away with this with more patchs on the back, or are my cafe latte social riding mates drama queens? I can dump it if necessary but because of its significance it means a lot to me.
Here's a link to the other thread with pics if my pad doesn't like the image
