Reading in a mag about the residual oil left behind in Harley engines after an oil change. Is it right that up to 1.5 litres of used oil is left in the engine?

Thanks mate. What do they do then at the dealers? Do they scavenge to dirty oil out or do they just leave it in there?

That looks like a lot of dirty oil thats left behind after you drain it.

Obviously it will damage the engine and reduce its life. Bad engine design or just another way of getting $$$ out of you?

 there is always some one making money out of something, fair nuff the scavinger works but if you change your oil every 4-5k it shouldnt be an issue.

Yeah Will67 a S&W 686 is a 38/357 Magnum. Not many had the underlug on the bottom of the barrel. I had one with the adjustable front sight. The 586 was a blued finish and the 686 was stainless.
Its since been rebarreled and modded to the max and its not mine. The mate bought it and did all the work.
I have a Ruger Vaquero now as a revolver.
