Agreed with the above!! I feel I was swindled a little too! I was offered a 103 kit when I bought mine, but I would have to pay for fitting. Told them I didn't want the 103 so they swapped it out for a set of slipons instead. I think I got jipped, as the cost of the slipons is much less than the cost of a 103 kit. :(

I was surprised at how little they will move. Especially when I just negotiated a 5 Grand discount on a $30,000 car. I would have thought I could do similar in a $32,000 bike, but I could not even get them to move $100 on the price. :(

Yep, I paid 31K for the bike and cannot even get a discount on the accessories.
I was wrapt riding away on my bike, but felt a bit ripped off when I left.

But hell, they remember my name each time I go in. That counts for fark all.................
    They shit me to tears.

I actually got a better deal from a dealer outside my state on extras. (Harley Heaven, thanks)

And of course VPW has looked after me very well with their products and service, thanks Walka.

    Shop around.

I didnt buy a Fatboy but I got two helmets thrown in and for $500 extra I got a charger, Medium low detachable bar and rack, screaming eagle mufflers, full tank of fuel, stubbie holder, harley mag.
Plus the salesman remembers my name and the wife's name, rings me with updates on a regular basis and is a damn nice guy to boot.
Yeah I know a tank of fuel and stubbie holder etc so what. Well he didnt have to but he did plus I got a far whack of the price compare to the other two places I went too.

as i stated in another thread i bought a new street bob in 06. Me and my mate got $500 each off straight up for a 2 bike deal

also bought a heap of extras and had em all fitted for free. That was at Frasers. but all i can say is shop around between the

dealers cause you will always get one to do more then the others. good luck

Fuck all just take your money and forget about you, then charge you crazy dollars for all the servicing for the rest of your life if you don't know how to fix the stuff yourself.

    Not much at all

I managed to get $250 off, and a few accessories - Sissy bar, luggage carrier, S & S slips ons for what they called cost, but probably about the same as you could get by buying OS when you could. Also got a tee shirt and a buff.  They do remember my name, and as part of the Hog Club do ride at times with the sales staff and the owner of the shop.

Of couse the price of the Fatboy dropped from $32000 to roughly what you are going to pay so they had a bit of margin.

    Wish you luck

All dealers are different and some will give more than others, Don't accept the first dealers prices, be prepared to shop around and don't be affraid to compare prices in front of the salesman, it keeps him slightly more honest.

If you have already done the deal, then your fooked but if you haven't......

Try to get as much as you can!  At least pipes ana tuna ana cleana. Don't show them how excited you are, the more dead pan you are the more they may offer you to get the deal. specially if your going finance, they loooove finance deals betta than cash.$$$.

Finally, get them to agree to 10% off all future parts purchases and get them to write it on the special conditions part F of the dealer form. Tell them you plan to add heaps of accessories to your new ride and you will buy soley off them (even if you don't plan to). It boosts your chances of a win. The salesman puts plenty of energy trying to stitch you up so do your homework and don't be affraid to give them some curry back!

P.S. (I only know this cause i was in the industry for 4 years.) Secret Squirrel.

    GOOD LUCK!
