    Hi,

I'm new on the bike & forum scene.

I'm in the process of upgrading my 2009 Heritage FLSTC with Samson True Duals Fishtails S2-430 pipes.

    http://www.samsonusa.com/S2-430.html

I scored a J.E.T Airstack Stage 1 air delivery system to help it breath better.

What do you recommend for a tuner on this combo. I don't want the bike to run lean and damage the engine & pipes over time.

I'm not into power or racing just want the upgrade to be right.

    Thanks

You have a choice between, a full tuning program or a piggy back plug and pray system. Costs vary accordingly. Top three tuners ATM seem to be the TTS, sepst and Power vision for stock bikes and for those that have intentions of bigger and better engines etc. There are some "plug and play" devices like the Doebek and Big Joes that will do well for just air and pipe changes. http://www.hdforums.com.au/Default.aspx?tabid=71&view=topic&postid=440934&forumid=27&tpage=1#442448 (Gonads Post)

It all depends on what you want to do in the future. No more mods you can get a piggy back system, but if you want to change things says cams, big bore kit etc, then either of the first 2 will be what you will need.

Myself I use the TTS as it gives me a lot of possibilities for the future with engine mods.

No more engine mods in the future.
Its more for efficiency and mostly looks.
Love the look of the fishtails, i just bought stacks of chrome for it, fulll chrome front end, Küryakyn chrome everywhere, engine, trans swingarms. I am also making it convertible, Quick release bags & sissy bar with barebacks.
    Should look sweet when finished.

Those pipes being "True duals" are harder to tune for, especially on a Softail.

Mate of mine here put the same pipes on a 2009 softail standard ( I'm presuming they're the upswept pipes here !)

I tried a couple of different TTS tunes in it , but it didn't run 100% ( pinging / popping on decel etc etc )

So I kept tweaking it , each time a little better

Eventually I used a (modded by me) Kuryakyn TTS Calibration for "96 Softail with V&H straights". Downloaded free from Kuryakyn's website.

His pipes didn't blue at all, and it ran relatively well. Quite a quick bike by the end !

Another dude here in Perth had a "Captain America" replica built for him with the same Samson upswept Fishtails and FRASERS PUT A SEPST SUPER TUNER ON IT and the downpipes blued quicksmart ! Not a good look !!

Where are you located hwnt for the best dyno tuner ?. The TTS can be home tuned with a lap top for good results if your keen to learn about the EFI.

Can someone tell me if the Powervision PV1 or the TTS can work on more than one bike?
Or do they all lock themselves to the specific bike?
