Hi thinking about buying a scavenger total oil system, does anyone use one , and are they anygood thanks.
I have one and use it on my bike. When I showed the guys I ride with they all turned up a week later with a box of oil and some beer. I LIKE BEER.
So if you like BEER buy one and tell your mates. Free beer!!!

Dealer in Oz?
The Savenger system has many freinds and does what it is designed to do. Cost approx $100 - 120 . Approx 1 - 1.5 lts of diry oil is left in engine after normal oil drain. What I do is drain engine as normal, install drain plug, add 2ltrs of new oil, that means that there is approx 3 - 3.5 ltrs in engine. Let bike idle for about 5 minutes, then drain oil as normal. Then fill with approx 2- 3 ltrs (as there is 1- 1.5 ltrs still in engine). Now you have diluted the dirty oil by approx 50- 60% that we have been doing for years. Yes you are wasting 1- 1.5 ltrs of oil, but you wast some with the Scavenger anyway. Not perfect, but something simple I can do. Just my 2 cents worth.
No dealer in Auz, at least last time I checked.
Yes they can be a little messy. Expect to spill oil and have paper laid out on the floor to catch. Immediately after I change the oil a full can of that $2 de greaser from super cheap cleans up all the spills on the bike and the floor.
Like many have said I also like the idea of 100% oil change. Never hurts to treat your bike with a little TLC.
Skin1312 , Mate I would help you out with a loan of the Scavenger but alas I am working out of Vic at the moment. Buy one and you won’t be sorry.
The Scavenger won't fit/work on Rocker type oil systems.
Been using the scavenger for about 18 months, got the kit with both tourer and softail fittings, works great on both have a nightrain & sTREET GLIDE.
This reall does make sense, as an engineer, I believe it it best to completey change the oil, you will have less build up of sludge over time
An old thread dig I know but I don't really see any point in starting a new one even though it's in product reviews.
