I moved mine out as well, the only down side is that I scrape my boards on corners and Roundabouts. Other than that they a lot more comfortable with the knees.

And I thought I was the only one that had that problem..........my knees used to ache after about 20 mins of riding. Used to have my feet hanging half on, half off the floor boards. Not so bad on the left side but on the right side that bloody aircleaner is in the wrong place.

I have SE stage 1 with the standard air cleaner cover. I was wondering if the SE Heavy Breather is out of the way of the knees???

Got a set of floor board extensions from the states (googled and found online),  which is much more comfortable, but YES the DOWNSIDE is cornering. Doesn't take much to scrape.

I have highway pegs now so may even take the extensions off ???

I put a set of Kuryakyn Board relocators on my bike they moved the boards 1" out plus 1" forward, little move lean angle to get thru roundabouts and knee isnt pushed into aircleaner. part no was 7528.

No problems, Ive got a Mustache engine guard it angles forward at its bottom mounts. Im still running heal and toe shifts and moves the left board clear of them so you get the whole board rubber to use.,shifting is just a lift and twist motion. For comfort on long rides its the best thing ive done to the bike.
