Hey everybody, First time poster. Happy to be here amoungst other HogHeads!

After weeks and weeks of research I finally found my ultimate bike. I came across this and thought I'd share it.

I personally own an 07 Street Bob.  What do you think it would take to get that Tyre/Rim Setup on my bike?

    I have chrome rims standard 17" / 19" setup.

The tyres are Firestone Deluxe Champion Blackwalls possibly 16" / 18"??  They are reasonably priced too.

Let me know what you guys think?

So after spending a bit of time in Photoshop, finally utilizing some skills I came up with this.

Here is my bike as it is right now..

And this is what it could potentially look like...

thoughts??.. I couldn't quite get the rear shocks to line up but you get the idea...

i dont like it much, i dont get the idea of sprung seats on a bike with springs,

especially that one with the seat so high up, i think the seat should be as low as possible... but thats just me :) if everyone was the same it would be a boring world

Your going to have to have some sort of front guard whether you like the look without or not. Other than the cops not leaving you alone you will get your bike sand blasted with every little bit of grit your front tire picks up.

These particular tyres are the "Firestone Deluxe Champion Blackwalls" (http://www.cokertire.com/tire-applications/motorcycle-bike-1.html). They come in 16" & 18" primarily with different widths etc.. I personally don't want to change Rim sizes from what I currently have (17" & 19").
The options I have are to have my Rims Powder Coated Black. In the 17" Rear tyre my options are very limited but I could run a Firestone Vintage 250-17 and there are quite a few options in the 19" consisting of Avon Speedmasters, Firestone 325-19 and a Coker Diamond 400-19.

First off what do you guys think about running a 250-17 rear tyre? With a slightly thicker Front Tyre? Is that just odd/unsafe? I really like the old WWII/Post war look, that's why I own a Street Bob so I could over time build toward something similar. But if it's unsafe then I guess running the 16" & 18" tyre option is the only way to go, be it a hell of a lot more expensive.

Speaking of PowderCoating, anyone know of a decent PowderCoater up in the Gold Coast Region?

    All opinions appreciated!

A 250 or (240) is going to cost you mega bucks, that job needs a lot of work

This particular 250-17 tyre is actually less than 3" wide so it wouldn't fit on the current Rim anyway.

Probably way too much work and dollars to be spent on something that is a 'want' and not a 'need' right!?

As for the Powder Coating, what's a rough estimate $$ wise to get Rims/hubs/Spokes painted black?

    Cheers guys,

Really dig it man, but I'm not a fan of sprung seats (try hanging off one) and those Firestones will handle like shit.
