    Hey guys

Anyone recommend a good HD electrician/technician in Sydney?

Was planning a nice morning ride today.

Tried to start bike....absolutely nothing. No ignition light,

no side lights, no nothing, dead as a Dodo ;-(

I'd used bike a few days previously and was fine.

I'm thinking there's possibly some electrical short but want a

    professional's opinion.

    Cheers

What year and model bike do you have ? Looks like a 06 dyna in your aviator.
1 make sure run/kill switch is in run position.
2 Make sure the battery terminals are tight because they can come lose overtime.
    3 check battery voltage
    4 check fuses
    5 check maxi fuse

6 Has anyone done any work on the bike like changing to chrome switch blocks etc.

Let us know how these check out.

    Sorry gents,
Tried all your suggestions and wish it was as simple as some suggested....still absolutely bugger all.
Didn't get to ride so went for a drink instead!
Only work done to it was by myself.
Fitted V&H fuelpak myself a few months ago and in honesty I had to shoe-horn the cables and fuelpak under the seat.
I'll try that first and let you all know.

    Cheers lads

Unplug the fuelpac and run the ECM with out the tuner. The fuelpac may have taken a dump.

    Right,
First opportunity to get out to garage this morning.
Reverted ack to stock ECU, bi-passed Fuelpak...........still nothing.

Checked all battery terminals, earth etc....all good.
No pinched cables or exposed cables.

    Totally at a loss here.

Does the factory alarm/immobiliser activate ignition system ie, battery light?
just wondering if fob battery has expired and this is the problem?

Bit of a longshot I'm thinking

    Cheers

Disconnected battery. Absolutely nothing from alarm.
I'm assuming battery is completely buggered.
I've heard of them failing completely like this but never experienced it myself.

    Next question :
Best place for new battery?? :-(

As suspected, the battery had shit itself.
    $163 later and all good.

Gained some valuable information re: immobiliser, maxi fuses, charging battery etc along the way ,
    So thanks lads
