XL1200r - engine sprocket change & BASSANI exhaust advice

Well I've picked up a 2005 Roadster... it's had a plethora of work done... one of the things done, which the original owner didn't tell me, was that he changed the engine sprocket to the 883 size. This meant it needed a new primary chain too.

On the highway, at an indicated 100km/h, the bike is revving at approx 3500rpm... I will take a gps with me next time Im out to see if the speed is accurate. But 3500rpm really feels undergeared. So I'm contemplating putting it back to stock.

He does have the original sprocket and chain, but wants another hundred for it... is it worth it?

On another note, the Rush slip on mufflers are way loud. I have heard some people say that a 2into 1 system is better for torque... And have seen the Bassani system on a couple of youtube clips. Has anyone here had any direct experience with the Bassani product?

Mate, I would put the original gear back on, $100 is nothing. As far as Bassanni, Walka on this site is an agent, alot of the boys here use him, and by reports is a stand up bloke. He also knows EVERYTHING there is to know about sporties....pm him re your sprocket, and ask him about the Bassanni gear.
