My BIL was overtaking a truck in dual lanes today at approx 12:15pm. He just got past the truck doing 105Km/h when he seen the wallaby out the corner of his eye. He didnt have any time to react. He said "I simply shut my eyes".

The wallaby was hit square in the middle, exploded on impact and the Fatboy continued on its way. The only thing the BIL got was blood and guts up his legs and on the bike.

He said his pants werent full of shit but I would say it was close.

He said he was lucky it wasnt full grown and was at the bottom of his hop when he hit it. He thought he was a goner.

So if you see a dead wallaby on George Booth drive it was the BIL who did it and he got out unscathed.

Ah HD Fatboys. Tough buggers!

Good onya BIL for surviving that hit the fatboy front end is one tuff bit if equipment .Taipan a Vitnam Vet was coming from Broken Hill when he hit a kangaroo he wasnt as lucky.It just goes to show you how many of these animals are on our roads.I have had a few close calls myself.

I was riding my Husky trail bike in the middle of nowhere once. Hit a damn Wallaby going bloody quick. Massive tank slapper but managed to stay upright. Old mate didnt make it and I had a huge bruise and swelling on my left knee where some part of his anatomy has clipped me. If I had come of and been hurt I would have been fucked.

The little woman was doing film work near the pound SA and before she left I badgered her if you see a Roo on the road hit the fucka [or something similar]
She was on her way to Leigh creek by herself and I got the call. I have just had a roo it came over the bonnet and it has smashed the mitzu mirage to the shithouse.
She was really shaken up.
I said did you try and avoid it??
She said no It just came out of now where and crunch,locked to brakes up and pulled over.
I said goodonya.That's the way
The Roo's aren't worth leaving 3 kids without their MUM. Good result. !!!!!!!!!!!

I like the idea on a bike if you have time sit back and take the roo on the forks.
Throttle into it if possible
lightening the F/E and then coast to the left and pull over.
If your F/E is gone try and leave the bike pushing it away from you when you slide.
