Hi all...Moonracker,I recently put a set of Progressive RAP on my Fatboy Low.Its by far a superior shock than the stock shocks.Perfect for pillion or extra weight.

Check out the progressive website , I just bought 430 series for my Dyna . I had a multiple choice of lengths , and a choice of heavy duty spring or standard . 250 lb min weight for heavy duty on this particular model . Bought mine from J.C. Motors in U.S. $799 quoted here , got them delivered for $421 !!

Hi dev , your on the money. I weigh 230lb and ride 2 up most times. On the min pre load I have 1" sag solo , with pillion on setting mark 2 , also 1" sag . If I bought the standard springs I would just have to of wound it up a bit more. With my weight , and riding with pillion most times , thought hd spring on min side of  settings will work , Cheers , Tim.

Bir late here, over the years i've used progressive shocks & fork springs. they are ok at the start but, the springs seem to loose tention specially in the forks. i've also had a few of there shocks fall apart. just thought i'd mention. this.

I think if you really want the best you have to get someone to custom build to the bikes weight & the total weight it will carry.

in Sydney a company called Shock Treatment & another guy called Frank Pons. both do this. costs more but worth the money.
