I think we drank beer and spent time learning how our bikes worked. Now a lot of people work away and if we can`t ride we like to chat on forums to keep our spirits up. I miss riding everyday but gotta make money somehow.

Maybe hard core bikers find it difficult to converse with someone smart enough at a pub who can actually hold such conversations..

Either that or their sence of humour scares the shit out of normal people..

i ride everyday, i work on bikes all day every day. i love bikes, i read about em, i study em, i try to learn as much as i can about em, and the people that own em, they prolly take up three quarters of my day, every day. i am a club member, i do fairly big kilometres every year on a bike, have prolly owned over 150 bikes in my lifetime. does that make me hard core ? fucked if i know, i believe the biking fraternitiy is made up of too many differing or different type of people, covering justabout every demographic you can possibly imagine for the term "hard core" to be used any more. Hard core could be the bloke who works huge hours but rides his bike every moment of his spare time, be it only an hour a week or whatever, or it could be the guy on thedole that rides anywhere and everywhere just for the hellof it. impossible to define nowadays i reckon.
