Upgrading Brakes?

     Hi

I'm thinking of upgrading the stock HD brakes on my 48. I hear Brembo are top notch, any other recommendations?

To improve braking is it necessary to upgrade the disks along with the calipers? Bike has only done 3000km.

    Thanks

I'm going braided lines first - had them on previous bikes and they make a world of difference.......

I'm pretty sure Scouser put an XR caliper on his 48 before he sold it, and there was a marked improvement.

+1 XR caliper a breeze to fit. The xlforum has a detailed install of the brembo setup with a link to an eBay store.

Did the same on Dave's advice and fitted the XR caliper on the front of my wifes' 48. It's the best move you can make.

Now I'm looking to change the back one.................... any idea's???

I second Scouser. He helped me fit the XR caliper. Much better feel. I still haven't done the braided line (still in the garage) but this is all you need.

+1 for the XR caliper. Easy to change over and makes a world of difference even without the braided lines.
