Could some please explain to me the difference in ride on the various bikes, Softail, Roadking, Fatbob, Fatboy, Softail Herritage, Dyna, Springer front vs Hydraulic, Low Rider, Superglide and Rocker.

I have a Softail Custom and test rode this and a fat boy.  I found that the Fatboy wasn’t that impressive on the corners in that I had to force it down where as the Softail handled like a dream and seemed to naturally lean into the corners.  It ever handles better than my old Bonneville.

    Hi Granox

If you wanted a bike that handled well,
    went fast,
and stopped when you wanted it too . . .
    - - - why would you buy a Harley ?

We need a website which gives stats (like the HD site) but where you can put a few bikes specs side by side, along with the pros and cons of each. Anyone got some spare time?

the funny thing is the custom and the fat boy are both softtails--different ront ends though--alot of handling issues are down to suspension and rear tyre sizes. If the rear tyre is way fatter than the front obviously the bikes wheels will track on a different line to each other when cornering. the dynas swingarm hangs off the gearbox, and I reckon the softtails still wallow in the corners when pushed hard enough--Ill stick with my original thoughts go the mighty fxr's--cheers Grim

Test ride them all, buy to suit your riding style, ride to suit the ride style, who really cares at least it's not a cage.
