Throttle lag on Touring bikes?

    Hi there

I ride an 09 Electra Glide Ultra Classic and haven't had it all that long only done 2000 k's since i bought it. Not long after riding for a bit noticed throttle lag particularly when overtaking say in 4th, not end of the world lag but it was there.

Also noticed at real low revs, Just above idle the throttle was bit jerky and in comparison to my other ride with cables there was a noticeable difference.

Read numerous posts about re-mapping throttle plate sensitivity and progression etc and also the Vance & Hines Throttlepak. Mate of mine picked one up in the States while he was there (thought I'd give it a try at $130AUD) and brought it back with him and I fitted it yesterday.

Well, it's transformed the way the throttle feels!! Got my throttle cable feel back and no lag. Works a bloody treat. Thought I'd share this.

    Cheers <img src=" align="absMiddle" src="/DesktopModules/NTForums/themes/_default/emoticons/smile.gif" />

Drop the complete air cleaner assembly off, plug in line with the existing harness at the throttle body and cable tie the thing between the heads. Makes it a bit more responsive compared to having nothing, especially when taking off at the lights overtaking on the highway.

Noticed it with 09 FBW roadie after upgrading from 07 heritage dual cable throttle , but used too it now and barely notice it , though they do say the V&H throttlepak fixes it to have cable feel repsonse , has anyone had any dramas with it once set up , at all ?

Got the Throttlepak yesterday and fitted it easy as pie.. The differernce is amazing, very snappy off the line, cheapest quickest performance mod you can do!.. Im sure it does nothing for power or top end speed but its at the lights you notice it...mmmmm now for the cat converter and maybe a fuelpak!

cant it be ajusted via race tuner , in the tuner it has a part that lets you ajust it as a pesentage up untill half thotle and becomes 100% or direct ,, thats whats been don to my SG
