hi , ive just brought a 1988 heritage softail and am look for a workshop manual , did HD  make one ?? this is my first harley and am very new to rord bikes

Hey Cookie , if you get the chance get yourself a book called .. " 101 Harley-Davidson Evolution Performance Projects , 2nd Edition " .. by Kip Woodring & Kenna Love , it will really help you down the track with hints , idears and trouble shooting ... KiwiDave from here put me on to it , thanks for that Dave .

Another one to get if you are the book type of person is one called .. " Donny`s Unauthorised Guide to Harley-Davidson , 1936 to present . Vol 3 The Evolution " .. by Donny Petersen , man about 700 pages of pretty useful stuff ... of course not all about 88 models but a fantastic insight into The Evo and Harley`s in general .

Anyhow mate good to see another newbie on here and if you read some of the post on here by some of the long timers { i didnt say old timers guys } i reckon you will have a good laugh as well as maybe learn some things , happy riding Cookie ... Tim .
