Eveyone has an opinion on this subject and it is good but also confusing for the general jo blo. I started out on Mobil 1 15w40 recommened by one motorcycle shop, but then told by another it is no good for the high temps in the tropics and to use straight 50w, which i now use. Most of my fellow riders use this oil. I have noticed another bike shop in our area using 70w oil. I am not about to change unless i am convince to for a very good reason. I have been informed that it is not good to chop and change your oils so hopefully i wont have to, unless otherwise convinced. I dont do big bike runs for hours on end so i hope that i am using the correct one, and i change it regually. No one has mentioned oil coolers in this subject of oils...are these a good thing to have on your bike to help cool the oils or not, are they worth it. I look forward to the outcome of my post as i am one of those confused jo blo's.

HEY oz funny stuff oil and religion. We did switch over to all Torco here in the shop and are a larger dealer at this point. I had no idea it was hard to get as I am talking phone orders for several cases at a time. Being that we have used all brands at this point. Here are some things that we noticed, 80% less foaming in the oil bag, much quiter engines, as well they are running at a slightly cooler oil temp. That being said I have not tried other straight weight oils only multi weights made for a v-twin air cooled. I did test it against a straight weight car oil and it was still cooler running and less foam. Bottom line it works better than others we have tried , and it is a oil made for a air cooled v twin engine.

Good Luck with the oil debate LOL Take care all .
