Eveyone has an opinion on this subject and it is good but also confusing for the general jo blo. I started out on Mobil 1 15w40 recommened by one motorcycle shop, but then told by another it is no good for the high temps in the tropics and to use straight 50w, which i now use. Most of my fellow riders use this oil. I have noticed another bike shop in our area using 70w oil. I am not about to change unless i am convince to for a very good reason. I have been informed that it is not good to chop and change your oils so hopefully i wont have to, unless otherwise convinced. I dont do big bike runs for hours on end so i hope that i am using the correct one, and i change it regually. No one has mentioned oil coolers in this subject of oils...are these a good thing to have on your bike to help cool the oils or not, are they worth it. I look forward to the outcome of my post as i am one of those confused jo blo's.
