I have a 1995 FXSTC and just changed the pipes from Screaming Eagles to Samson Shorties...Both are baffled so am wondering if I need to change the mixture for the Shorties??? Been for a suirt around the block and running fine with a noticable difference in down low power....

By the sound of picking up bottom end with the muffler change the new mmfflers are more restrictive. The bike could be running richer so the best way is to check the plugs after a ride. Sit on a 100 kph for a 1/2 mile then cut the motor and coast to a safe spot to check the plugs color but let the motor cool before pulling plugs as you could strip the thread. Google a page with with how to check with modern fuels and see if the motor is running rich or lean.

Did the same thing fitted a set of short shots lost bottom end power sold them went to V&H long shots it allo came back and some,no you dont need to retune the bike get rid of them.
