Hi all help is needed. Purchased these of a Gentleman on the forum but unfortunately the two shocker mounting brackets bushes are too large to fit my 1992 XL mounting bolts, and the top mount is too narrow for the guide, the stock shocker is much wider at the top and there is no room for movement once its bolted on.

Can anyone assist with any advice/modifications needed to make these shockers fit. The part number is 412 4011 progressive shocks.  Any assistance is greatly apreciated. Thankyou Pan.

You should be able to replace the bushes and eyelits, shoot an email off to progressive? We used some rubber sleeves in a mates Iron the other day to install burly brand slammers, the eyelits were too big, they came with a few different sizes to space the whole thing out. In reverse you should be able to pop the rubber sleeves out and pick up a set that will fit your bike?

Thanks for the tip convert. (nice bike by the way)

Going to put my old shocker ones in there as there the perfect size, they should fit.  Still might have to make a spacer for the bottom mount as at the moment its hitting the bolts on the belt gulde.

    cheers

it's a OK , you need a inner sleeve bush that goes inbetween  too take up the different bolt holes or you can have a machinest make them for you ,  most shockies kit have them in the box new for the different models as far as the spacing goes  you also have to shim pack or machine spacers to have the shock in line up & down not @ & angle  straight up & down  so when the male end goes in the female end it goes in & out  with-out binding , the progresive brand are a little fatter than  other's  & need more room in there bed ,

level bike off  with a  spirit level  then mount the shockeis  straight up & down  not on the side stand ? the progresive brand are a lttle bit on the hard side
