Hi Everyone. My name is David and I live in the Hunter Valley. Narrows it down doesnt it.

I use to ride a lot back in the day but married life and bills to pay meant priorities.

My wife suggested I look at a Harley and for a moment I thought a DNA test may be required to see if it was in fact my wife and not a ring in.

Well many shops later I am awaiting the arrival of my first Harley, A 2012 Superglide, From Central Coast Harley Davidson.

Its leaving the factory in two days time. Arrival in April probably. Hope the ship dont sink.

I cannot recommend Central Coast Harley Davidson enough for their Honesty and service. Weekly updates on the bike etc even if there is nothing more to report.

Peter at Central Coast is a great person to deal with and talk too. A true gentleman.

I hope to learn a fair bit from the people in the know here and may be meet a few of you on the road in the future.

    Safe Riding.

    David

Hi everyone and thank you for your kind welcoming to the forum.
I originally was getting a 1200 Custom but once my wife seen me on a wide glide she asked why did the 1200 look so small. I explained the wide glide is bigger.
She replied well your not getting the 1200 as it looks like your sitting on a pimple.
The only thing Im getting done to the bike is a detachable medium back rest and rack, screamin' Eagle mufflers, smooth rims and charger.
It leaves the factory today in the USA and heads for the ship. Hopefully 4 to 6 weeks then its mine. Waiting is hard.

On another note nearly cleaned up a bike today. Pulled out straight in front of me from the left. Luckily I was watching him and had my foot on the brake and was slowing down way before he gunned it.
If I didnt he would have been a hood ornament on the car. I honestly believe any other driver not on the lookout for bikes like I do would have cleaned him up. Even as it was I had to swerve to miss him.
Im glad he got home to his family in one piece.
Thanks again for the kind welcome.

Hey dave, welcome. How come you steered clear of Frasers? Know someone who was a previous customer?

There are several reasons why I didnt go with Frazers. I shouldn't go into it here on this forum.
Not out of respect for Frazers but because someone else might not come across the situations I did.
I know a number of previous customers and all were very happy with their purchase from Frazers.
Me I was not happy with the dealings.
I will say one thing. When you want a price you want a price today not days of dicking me around then telling one price then wanting me to come in for another only to dick me around more.
I tried to get a price for nearly 2 weeks. That was one of the problems.
    There were others.
