Does anyone know if I can buy an Ignition key for a rod from the dealer (PS) cut to lock if I give them the VIN no.or do they only sell blanks.On a US sight they said the the dealer can cut to suit

there is a locksmith on King William heading south 2 or 3 blocks from South Tce that PS refer people to...

 

would you worry if they sold you a key from you just giving them the VIN?

like i would think anyone could write your VIN down then buy a key? that don't sound right think they would ask for more proof.

I guess we all know that all alarms ,locks ect dont stand in the way of a pro..plenty of electrical gurus can disarm all alarms.

 I bought a uncut willie g barrel skull key from the dealer and they send it to the us after  you prove ownership of the bike and give them your vin. I think mine took 4-5 weeks. that was 7 years ago, hope fully they can do it in oz now a lot quicker or can't they?

The dealer can absolutely order keys from the VIN you will have to provide proof of ownership. They only sell them in sets of two but hey you lose keys so why not have an extra? There are lock smiths around that can cut you a key from the original spare for very little or from the lock for a small fortune.
