Replaced my rear shocks On My 2011 Fxdc With progressive 430`s leaving the CHrome cover that covers the Bolt off. Nuts of course are zinc plated And My Local Stealer tells Me There Is No Chrome or Stainless Version For it?

Anyone Know Size And If CHRome/sTaInLESs is AvaILAbLe?

SAME fOR THE bolts on the Chrome Dash....

    THnx

I usually take a sample in to a bearing shop, they will tell you if they have it in stainless or not

Covers don't fit With the 430'S. Nuts do but are zinc and without the covers very vIsible....

I've been away working, just got home, had a look, mine are not chrome just a slightly shiney zinc plated...  :) .... sorry about that.

I would fit stainless or chrome without a worry, just use some blue loctite on them.

I run them without the covers too

I just cut the slot on the covers with some tin snips cannot
Even tell and used a stainless dome nut, the dome nut has fuk
All pressure on it, it's only really there to stop the shocks
    Slidding off the bolts !

I would not use stainless bolts on any load areas on bike.

done - turns out the moco sells 1/2in chrome acorn nuts . perfect replacement for the stock zinc nuts. looks nicer without the chrome cover and since it's only a retaining nut i feel that i didn't weaken the area...

now try to find chrome versions of the button bolts holding down the dash on the tank...

    thnx
